Evading Hibernation Initiative: (start anytime beginning 10/14/19)
As the days grow shorter and the temperatures get colder our modern lifestyles tend to lead us to less physical activity, resulting in slower metabolism and lethargy. These all describe hibernation. These common symptoms can often lead to the Winter blues or even trigger depression. All too often weight is gained because we eat more. Plus, we spend more time sitting around. So don't allow eating to be your Winter activity. Increase your energy, feel better and increase your metabolism join Evading Hibernation Initiative!
The program consists of 3 options (Physical Activity, Strength Training, and doing activities you enjoy). To complete the initiative you need to complete 2 of the 3 options. Upon completing 2 options you can turn in your form for a gift card. If you complete all three options you can earn a second gift card.
Exercise Option: Complete 1200 minutes of cardiovascular exercise.
Strength Training Option: Perform 15 minutes of strength exercises in a day for a minimum of 25 days.
Go Unplugged Option: Perform a hobby or activity that gets you unplugged in the evening (away from electronics) and doing something else for at least 1 hour. This should be something that replaces sitting in front of the TV/tablet/computer/cell phone etc. Goal complete 50 days.
